Michael Wehrenberg, IT Operations Manager and Designer Advisor

Michael Wehrenberg wears several hats for Student Media. He is Student Media’s on-site IT operations manager and production manager. Michael also serves as design adviser for advertising design and layout students. Before coming to work for Student Media, he served as creative services director at The Edmond Sun and was co-owner of a web-based specialty printing business. Having worked in the newspaper/print industry for 20+ years, he has experience in the areas of advertising sales/marketing, advertising design, newsroom pagination, electronic prepress operations, safety and training. In his personal life, Michael has enjoyed serving various events and community service organizations such as the Edmond Jaycees, the Oklahoma Jaycees, Edmond’s LibertyFest Fourth of July Festivals, the Children’s Center and the Muscular Dystrophy Association. Michael and his wife, Stacy, who also works at Student Media, live in Norman with their 8-year old daughter, Abby.

First thing you do when you arrive at work: Look at a copy of The Oklahoma Daily.
First thing you do before you leave work: Check to make sure that things are in order for the next day's deadline.
How do you spend a typical evening: Enjoying time with my family catching up on our favorite television shows or playing games.
Dream vacation: : Disney World of course.
What you’d do if you didn't have to work: Travel
Two (non-[m]) things you're very good at: Marine-aquarium keeping, gardening
